“Let’s talk about ALS” brought together figures from politics, business, art and show business with a solidarity purpose.
“Let’s find together the cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)” was the motto of the gala dinner in benefit of the Esteban Bullrich Foundation that took place on September 29, 2022, at the Alvear Palace Hotel in Recoleta.
The event was organized by the Argentine Metabolic Syndrome Foundation (FASIMET) and with the collaboration of the Focus Event group. The evening was attended by many political, business and show business figures.
The objective was to raise funds for the equipment of the first “Day Center”, in addition to trying to make visible the problems of ALS patients, promote the diagnosis and timely treatment of the disease, contributing to the research of the pathology.
On the same day of the event, the former senator Esteban Bullrich had been declared illustrious citizen of the Province of Buenos Aires for his long political career and his commitment to achieve progress in the fight against the disease.
During the evening, many artists made their contribution. In terms of music, César “Banana” Pueyrredón and Maxi Trusso performed.
The plastic arts were also present in the hand of the artist Inés O’Farrell. The work “Color Carnival” could be appreciated.
“An ode to life, in an attempt to find a strong anchor to vitality, sensuality and eroticism. In the dark roads, that for different circumstances of life we have to face, a breath of carnival arises and I carry the sparks of hope, love and redemption. In the deep look: the horizon, the whole and the enveloping certainty that everything can go better.” The work has an emotional weight for the author as it is a tribute to her aunt Margarola Lalor Cavanagh who suffered from ALS.
